NZ Pest Control

Pest control for retail

Retail lives or dies on the shopfront, and a pest sighting in front of a customer does more damage than the pest ever could. Behind the sales floor, stockrooms, deliveries and shared service corridors give pests a way in, and in a mall or strip your problem and your neighbour's are quickly the same problem. Food retail and supermarkets carry the added weight of a food control plan on top of all that.

How we work with retail

  1. 1

Visits scheduled after trading hours, so nothing happens in front of customers

  2. 2

Focus on back-of-house - stockrooms, delivery areas and shared service routes are where it starts

  3. 3

Proofing and monitoring so stock is protected before there's visible damage

  4. 4

Coordination across a mall or multi-tenancy site, where a single tenancy rarely has the whole problem

Pest control for retail - common questions

Can you work after we close?
Yes - that's standard for retail. We schedule around trading so treatment never happens while customers are in the store, and the sales floor is clear and ready when you open.
We're one shop in a mall. Is that a problem?
It's common, and it's why we coordinate where we can. Pests move through shared voids and service corridors, so a single tenancy treating in isolation often just moves the problem next door. We treat your space properly and flag where a shared approach would hold better.
Do you cover supermarkets and food retail?
Yes. Food retail sits under this - and it carries a food control plan on top of the usual retail pressures, so the programme includes the documented monitoring and records a verifier expects, across the deli, produce, bakery and back-of-house.
