Cockroaches control in Auckland
Auckland's warm, humid summers suit cockroaches very well, and they are one of the most common household pests we treat. They favour kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and anywhere warm and damp with access to food - behind the fridge, under the dishwasher, inside cupboard voids and around drains. Cockroaches are a genuine health concern rather than just an unpleasant sight: they move between drains and food surfaces, and they are a well-established trigger for asthma and allergies. Seeing one during the day usually means there are considerably more you are not seeing.
Signs you have cockroaches
- Live cockroaches at night when you turn a light on
- Small dark droppings that look like ground pepper or coffee grounds
- Egg cases (oothecae) - small brown capsules in cupboard corners or behind appliances
- A musty, oily smell in a badly affected kitchen
- Shed skins near warm appliances or in cupboard voids
Why it matters
- Cockroaches move between drains, bins and food preparation surfaces
- Droppings and shed skins are a recognised asthma and allergy trigger
- They contaminate stored food and packaging
- In a food business, cockroach evidence is a serious compliance problem
How we treat cockroaches
- 1
We identify the species first - the German cockroach behaves very differently from the larger native and Gisborne species, and the treatment differs accordingly.
- 2
Treatment targets the harbourage points where they actually live and breed, not just the surfaces where you see them.
- 3
We advise on the moisture, food-access and clutter conditions that let a population establish, because treatment alone rarely holds without those changes.
- 4
Bad infestations usually need a follow-up visit to catch the generation that hatches after the first treatment.
What our customers say
“It was the Sunday of a long weekend, and after having set off multiple bombs and cleaning for hours we realised we needed to get someone in. I expected to leave messages and hear back on the Tuesday - but no. Marie phoned me back about 15 minutes after I left the message. Half an hour later she called back - she had found one of your workers to come and spray our house that day. On a long weekend, on a Sunday, and at no extra cost. We were in a pretty dire situation, and the kindness and efficiency made the world of difference. The roaches moved out, and we now have a clean, happy home.”
“It's really hard when you've never had any pest issues before to know where to start. I rang several different companies but Marie's lovely calming and reassuring manner helped me choose you guys. Both Mike and Stuart have been fantastic to deal with - Mike has taken quite a few phone calls from me, I called him my bed bug counsellor! You've made a horrible stressful situation seem like it was all under control.”
