Flies control in Auckland
Flies are more than a summer nuisance. They feed on waste and decaying matter and then land on food and preparation surfaces, transferring bacteria directly. For a home that is unpleasant; for a café, restaurant, bakery or food manufacturer it is a compliance issue that a verifier will pick up. Persistent indoor fly activity almost always points at a source - a bin area, a drain, a dead animal in a wall cavity, or standing organic waste nearby - and finding that source matters far more than spraying the flies you can see.
Signs you have flies
- Persistent indoor flies, particularly around windows
- Clusters of small flies around drains, bins or sinks
- Fly spotting - small dark marks on light surfaces, ceilings and fittings
- A sudden concentration of flies in one room, often meaning something has died in a cavity
Why it matters
- Direct transfer of bacteria from waste to food and preparation surfaces
- A recognised risk in food premises verification
- Some species breed in drains and are very persistent without source treatment
- Large numbers usually indicate a breeding site on or near the property
How we treat flies
- 1
We find the breeding source first - without that, any treatment is temporary.
- 2
Treatment can include residual surface application, targeted drain treatment and fly control units depending on the site.
- 3
For food premises we work in with your hygiene and verification requirements and can set up a documented programme.
- 4
We advise on the waste handling, drainage and screening changes that reduce the pressure.
What our customers say
“It was the Sunday of a long weekend, and after having set off multiple bombs and cleaning for hours we realised we needed to get someone in. I expected to leave messages and hear back on the Tuesday - but no. Marie phoned me back about 15 minutes after I left the message. Half an hour later she called back - she had found one of your workers to come and spray our house that day. On a long weekend, on a Sunday, and at no extra cost. We were in a pretty dire situation, and the kindness and efficiency made the world of difference. The roaches moved out, and we now have a clean, happy home.”
“It's really hard when you've never had any pest issues before to know where to start. I rang several different companies but Marie's lovely calming and reassuring manner helped me choose you guys. Both Mike and Stuart have been fantastic to deal with - Mike has taken quite a few phone calls from me, I called him my bed bug counsellor! You've made a horrible stressful situation seem like it was all under control.”
