Comparing Flick Anticimex with a local Auckland operator

Flick Anticimex is a large trans-Tasman pest control business with branches across New Zealand and Australia. As with any national provider, the comparison against a single-city operator comes down to structure rather than competence.

The short answer

If your sites are in Auckland, a local operator gives you something a branch network structurally can't: a small local team rather than branch-rostered technicians, a programme designed around your operation rather than a standardised national template, and a direct line to the people doing the work. A trans-Tasman provider earns its place when you have sites on both sides of the Tasman - which, if you're reading this, you probably don't.

When we’re not the right fit

  • You have sites on both sides of the Tasman
  • You want a single national account manager across many branches

When we are

  • Your sites are all in Auckland - we cover the whole region as one provider
  • You want the programme built around your trading hours and your site, not a national template
  • You want to speak to the person who'll actually be on site, not an account manager relaying it
  • You want audit documentation without a national contract wrapped around it

Frequently asked questions

Can you match a national provider's reporting?
Yes. If you operate under a food control plan, your verifier expects evidence that pest management is happening and that you can show it. We provide records of each visit, what was found and what was done - the same documentation requirement, without the national contract.
What happens to my existing monitoring stations?
We'll assess what's in place at the initial inspection. Often stations can stay where they are and we take over the servicing and reporting; sometimes the mapping needs reworking. We'll tell you which before you commit.
